Lanterns In The Alley Ministries About Us

“The light shines in the darkness; and the darkness has not overcome it.” John 1:5

The goal of Lanterns in the Alley Ministries is to bring light and love to those in our community that are homeless and those that are struggling with addictions.

The following you will see the founder, the volunteers, and our partners and a little bit about them…

Founder

Amanda Bussen

My heart is found with those fighting the to survive homelessness and addiction because I can relate.

In my younger years, I was homeless and living in my car for about a year. I was pregnant and had children with me at the time as well. Someone helped me get on my feet and move forward. It is my hope to help others do the same.

I grew up in a home where addictions affected every part of my life. My parents were not in a stable and happy marriage because of it and due to their struggles, it harmed my childhood. I know there is a lot of reasons for addiction and I want to help where I can.

I want to be a lantern to those that need a little light where I once needed it. Please reach out if we can help.
